What’s New On Disney Plus in March 2021: Movies and TV Shows

Folks, there’s some seriously righteous stuff coming to Disney+ in March, not the least of which is the season finale of WandaVision. Every indication is that the March 5th episode will be the end of the series (no Season 2, unfortunately), which means we can expect a lot of loose ends to be tied up as the show begins to bridge the gap into the next wave of MCU feature films. (There might also be one or two surprises left to drop, so it’s in your best interest to tune in.)

But don’t let the impending end of WandaVision get you too bummed out. The premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier swoops in on March 19, which will help us all continue to get our MCU fix until Black Widow and Loki arrive later this summer. The six-episode series follows Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) on a globetrotting adventure that will see the return of the villainous Zemo (Daniel Brühl), as well as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle). Also, Wyatt Russell will be portraying John F. Walker, a.k.a. Super Patriot/U.S. Agent, a new addition to the MCU.

If traditional Disney fare is more to your liking, Raya and the Last Dragon hits the streaming service March 5. The latest animated feature from the iconic studio follows a young warrior named Ray (voiced by The Last Jedi’s Kelly Marie Tran) on a quest to unite her warring homeland by finding the mythical last dragon (voiced by Awkwafina). Like last year’s Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon will be available to Disney+ subscribers with Premier Access through May 4, and will then become available to all subscribers in June. There’s also the series premiere of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, featuring Emilio Estevez reprising his role as Coach Gordon Bombay.
